Stag and Hen Sailing Weekends Print E-mail

There is ample parking in Lymington Yacht Haven, a Bar & Bistro and shower and toilet facilities.

This is a nice place to meet and have a drink whilst you wait for everyone to arrive.  If you are arriving the night before, we will meet you and show you to your boat and give you all the information you will need.

The Bistro does a good breakfast – but you can have breakfast onboard if you prefer.

ImageYour skipper will meet you in the morning, normally 9.00am, and will give you a safety briefing prior to leaving around 9.30/10.00am.

We would normally sail towards either Cowes or Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth, if you want to have a go at sailing this is your chance!  You can do as much or as little as you want on board - just make sure that you tell your skipper throughout the day.

Lunch will be on board, so don’t forget the sandwiches etc.  If you want to do your shopping in Lymington before you board we have both Waitrose and Tesco’s stores for provisions.

After lunch there is more sailing and we will try and get you into Cowes or Gunwharf for 16.00/16.30 to shower and change and shopping if you wish.

The evening is your own – there are numerous eating and drinking places to choose from.  The skipper will remain contactable throughout the evening and will be around to make sure that you are all back on the boat safely before retiring.

Sunday morning – wake up at your leisure, breakfast in a local cafe if you are up to it.  Leave  when you are ready for a sail towards Newtown Creek.  Depending on weather conditions we can anchor here for lunch – if you fancy a dip – it is quite OK to swim here.

We aim to get you back to Lymington by 16.00 and off the boat and away by 17.00.

*******

We supply wet weather gear, tea coffee, tea towels & life jackets.

Don’t forget – soft soled non marking shoes (no high heels!!) pillows, towels, sleeping bags and suntan lotion – it is very easy to burn at sea even if it doesn’t feel hot.

If you have any of your own ideas that you would like us to incorporate, please let us know – the weekend is yours and this is only a suggested itinerary – we will do our very best to make your event one to remember.
